Contracts under AFOA rules
AFOA (American Fats and Oils Association) publishes the Trade Rules used by the US fats and oils industry. Our contracts incorporate them, and disputes go to AFOA arbitration.

- Quality specification and discounts
- Sampling and analysis by AOCS methods
- Weights and quantity tolerance
- Force majeure, insolvency and default
- Arbitration by three arbitrators, with one appeal
What our contract sets on its own
- The sunflower oil specification, which AFOA does not have

- The seat of arbitration and governing law (New York)
